TEMA: Kulturang Bikolnon: Ipadagos asin Pagyamanon

Objectives

• To take a huge step in motivating high school students into seeing what they can actually contribute in working for the country's development and improvement.
• To be able to have a good venue for academic competitions that would help in the development of the Bicolano youth.
• To be able to contribute in training future "leaders" in government, business and civil society who are informed, aware and motivated to take action by using their knowledge and wisdom.
• To be able to give the outstanding Bicolano youths the recognition they rightfully deserve.

Guidelines

1. The U.P. HARONG ACADFEST is a stay-in event which will last for three days and two nights.
2. Fun activities, which aim to promote camaraderie among the participants, shall be held every night.
3. Any high school, public or private, in the Province of Camarines Sur and the Cities of Naga and Iriga is qualified to join.
4. An official delegation from each high school shall be composed of a coach and a contestant/team for each competition.
5. Each participant (contestant and his/her coach) shall pay a registration fee of Php150 on the first day of the event.
6. Participants may wish to stay in the Naga City Youth Center dormitory (2nd floor) for two consecutive nights, October 28 and 29, for free (courtesy of the Naga City Government).
7. If your school intends to join in any of our competitions, please send the attached reply letter on or before September 22, 2004. You may also confirm your participation through email at acadfest@yahoo.com or SMS at 0918-9395379.
8. Only snacks shall be served during the three-day event.
9. The school with the highest number of championship wins shall be declared Overall Champion and shall be awarded the HARONG NIN DUNONG Trophy of Excellence, a roving trophy. The special trophy shall be passed on to the overall champion of next year's ACADFEST.
